DESCRIPTION:

Band Practice presents a toy-like figure assembled from a drum, suitcase,and the hollow base of a cello. A yellow stuffed duck head wearing a bandleader hat crowns the sculpture, with small wings grasping a conductor'sbaton. The piece sways side to side through a mechanical pendulum,echoing the rhythm of a metronome. Clown shoes, made of papier-mâché,tap softly in time. The cello's surface is punctured and drips with red nailpolish, while its interior is lined with shooting range targets. The assembledform suggests a child-sized performer caught between rehearsal and targetpractice.
