Dystopian Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the Flag

of the United States of America,

one Nation,

Divisible,

with liberty and justice for some.

With broad stripes and bright stars shining so clear,

we celebrate our might with a celestial veneer.

The Flag Speaks

How proudly I hail,

in dawn's early glow,

a banner of power,

dividing below.

Waving so high, yet setting apart,

a symbol of might but not of one heart.

The Dictator's Prayer

Our Father

who art in DC,

hallowed be Thy name,

My kingdom come,

Thy will be done

in spectacle and hateful fame.

Guide us from dissent and the calls for reform,

keeping our symbols both cherished and worn.

United I stand,

for my gain above all,

blessings for me,

while others may fall.

Free from all rules,

regulations, and reins,

responsibilities vanish,

as privilege remains.

Now I lay me down to sleep,

I pray the State my soul to keep.

If I should fall before I wake,

I pray the State my soul to take.

Guard me from the shadows deep,

and let my allegiance never sleep.

For Thine is the might,

the glory,

the cue,

where freedom's reserved

for only a few.
